While not a multiplayer game, the Dynasty Warriors franchise exhibits this greatly, due to having so many successive entries, with each entry adding more and more new playable characters. Newly added characters usually have more powerful and/or flashier movesets, while older characters are left in the dust. This happens a lot in each Civilization game with each expansion pack. In Civ V, America’s unique ability, “Manifest Destiny”, cuts the cost of buying tiles in half (and gives all land units +1 sight, a comparatively minor buff). This thoroughly outclassed America’s unique ability, which many fans felt should have been beefed up in Brave Skyward New World to make up for it. The sword play is great ands I enjoyed the beetle, bow and most of the other motion controls too. If ranged bring mildly annoying to flap upwards to incredibly uncomfortable to angle downwards and gain speed. Hopefully removing the inventory screen interruptions and Fi handholding are no-brainers.

And you know, I wouldn’t put it past Nintendo to delete the Wii U eShop Wii version coming up to the Switch release. It looks like run of the mill upscaling and the inherent improvement in hardware from Wii to Switch lets it run a Wii game at 60fps. Let’s see BOTW2 run in 1080p and at 60fps on the current Switch. Agreed, I’m disappointed they couldn’t capture that memorable oil paint-like texture of the clouds in the original.
